“richly matured in sherry and refill bourbon casks” as the label stated. We were served this during our visit to the distillery in April 2016, took home a small sample (responsible driving and such) and I tried it at my own convenience, which happened to be when we just finished our article on WhiskySpeller about our visit.

Nose: a slight sour, white balsemic vinegar note at first, later revealing a fresh sour Granny Smith’s apple juice and a hint of cinnamon
Palate: sweet whipped cream with more of the Granny Smith’s apple juice and a hint of fresh chestnut
Finish: medium long with the creaminess of roasted, but cooled down chestnuts and a hint of rosemary
Conclusion: Hm. Had expected more of this one.
