From the Château Bisquit in the centre of Cognac, recently restored after an eighteen month renovation by the best craftsmen of the region, we find the entry dram in our Cognac Advent Calendar from the people of the Drinks by the Dram team.
Nose: nice and modestly sweet from honey, strong spice notes of nutmeg and ginger, accentuated with freshly picked marjoram, a touch of orange peel and a good slice of buttered ginger bread
Palate: a creamy, mouth filling palate with sweet floral notes of rose petals, honeysuckle and honeycomb and a another touch of that ginger bread.
Finish: Medium long with more nutmeg and cinnamon spices together with a handful of herbs like rosemary and marjoram.
Conclusion: Very enjoyable. What more can I say? I am getting to like these cognacs…
