After 23 attempts, master blender Alex Chasko was satisfied with the balance of the flavours in this third release in the Premium range of Teeling expressions. Completing their full range of non aged Irish whiskeys, this release consists of a vatting of five different wine casks including ex-Sherry, ex-Port, ex-Madeira, ex-White Burgundy, ex-Cabernet Sauvignon finished Irish Malt whiskeys.

Conclusion: Great dram. She had a bit of a rough start, but in the end it all came together in a nicely balanced finish. Take some time after pouring before savouring it on an evening after a dinner party with some friends or family. Some might think her a bit on the sweet side, for which she has to thank the different wine finishes. Very well done, another Teeling whisky to be added to our wish-list.
The Majority of this whisky is composed with a single malt distilled in 2001 that has finished in a ex-White Burgundy, ex-Port and ex-Madeira cask, together with a younger, in 2006 distilled spirit from a ex-Cabernet Sauvignon cask. All these finishes have been a period of 11-13 months. The ex-Sherry portion is a 23 year old single malt. Just as the previous releases this is a small run batch again.
