.bruichladdich – xvii

46% abv, €175+, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: dunnage warehouse, fresh, ginger, nutmeg, citrus
Palate: sweet, spicy, hot peppers, vanilla, walnuts, citrus, lemons
Finish: warm, citrus, lemons, slight nutty bitter (nice!), long
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: We were lucky enough to find a set of three 20cl Bruichladdich bottles, reduced in price, where this VXII was one of the three. You’ll have to dig deep to find a full bottle of it, and you’ll have to dig deep when you do…

More info: fully matured for 17 years on ex-Bourbon casks
