.the balvenie – 15yo – single barrel #10362

47,8% abv, €70, single malt

Nose: sweet, vanilla, honey, fruity, soapy, hard green herbs, rosemary, meat, roast ham, overripe fruit
Palate: sweet, vanilla, fruits, pears, red fruit, berries, spicy, red pepper, floral, roses
Finish: floral, violets, roses, medium dry, long
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: a bit too sweet and floral for my taste, and the ham is a little off too. No need to wake me up for this one…

More info: distilled on 05.09.1997, matured in cask#10362, bottled into bottle #299 on 04.02.2013

Fun fact, the abv on these bottles is either 50,5% of 47,8%. Not really cask strength, but truth be told, it is not mentioned as such on the packaging either.
