.tobermory – 15yo

46,3% abv, €90, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: a lot of iodine, salt and seaweed – fresh, stone-fruit, plums
Palate: sweet, thick, velvety soft yet spicy, liquorice, stone-fruit, prunes
Finish: hints of iodine again, warm, sweet, spicy, firm, prunes
Mark: ++/+++

Conclusion: Not my favourite choice. It is sweet and fruity, but the heavy iodine is a bit overly present in the nose. It is worth a retry though.

More info: This has matured in Gonzalez Byass Oloroso Sherry casks.
